- The ride most equestrians dream of! - Had a truly amazing time on our ride - I was on the same trip as Tracy, who wrote a review last week. There were four of us, all of different backgrounds (me, a dressage rider, along with a former rodeo rider, Tracy who had a riding background but not for several years, and my boyfriend with maybe a total of 4 rides under his belt at all). They gave us all mounts to our level of ability and had us warm up in the ring before heading out. We walked, trotted, and cantered, and Magdalena made sure to keep a close eye (and hand on the reins, at times...) on my boyfriend so ensure his horse didn't get overexcited during gallops up the hills. Given my experience, she entrusted me with a high-level Andalusian - which was a total thrill, but definitely gave me a run for my money! But if I'm going riding in Spain, I want it to be on a hot Spanish horse, right? - Important Notes: This is NOT a nose-to-trail ride, and these horses, while exceedingly well-trained, are not bombproof trail horses, so I would exercise caution if you have absolutely no horse experience. That being said, if you're a horse person who gets frustrated on long, slow trails on checked-out horses, this is the experience for you! You will be expected to groom (and tack up, if you're knowledgeable) your own mount, which was great for me. It's also a working barn, so expect a comfortable level of dirt. They so obviously LOVE their horses (and dogs...and falcons...and chickens...) and it was wonderful. - Trip Advisor
- Highlight of my Mallorca Holiday - I hadn't been on horseback for over 12 years and was an average rider back then but my love of our equine friends has never wained so I decided to book myself a ride with Mallorca Horses and I was not disappointed. I was collected from Marriott Son Antem by Tony and was a little nervous when I discovered my fellow rides were experienced (one a rodeo rider and one with 10 years dressage experience) but Maddy (our very talented lead rider) teamed us up with horses to suit our experience. I was given the very pretty Duque (not sure of spelling) to ride and he was an absolute gent. We were given time to groom our horses and then ride then in the arena before setting offf on a beautiful trail through the lovely Mallorca countryside. Despite our differences in experience I think the group of four riders all had a great ride. One word of caution I would make is not to over egg your experience when asked as I doubt a total beginner would have been comfortable with the ride as there were plenty of opportunities to canter and the horses were all up for it! It was certainly the highlight of my holiday and all the horses are clearly well cared for and loved by Tony and his team. - Trip Advisor
