Bar Flexas
A cosy and charismatic bar and restaurant in the heart of Palma.
Authentic and quirky venue and local gay hangout in the centre of Palma’s old town.
Believe it or not, Bar Flexas has been around since 1944 and run by Xavi de las Heras, Pepa Charro and Fernando Estrella since 2004.
Renowned as one of Palma’s best-kept-secret social hubs, it benefits from a predominantly local audience still with the occasional tourist stumbling in. This emblematic watering hole has been around since the early 20th century and is located in the part of Palma’s Old Town which was previously referred to as the city’s Chinatown!
Unpretentious and friendly staff serve a small selection of dishes available on the menu. Its stylish interior, delicious tapas and enjoyable ambience keeps their local clientele in regular attendance.
The owners host an anniversary party every July, which coincides with the neighbourhood’s festivities, and has become an important date in the city's summer party calendar especially within the gay community. Each year, the party’s popularity soars, drawing an enthusiastic and friendly crowd from Mallorca and beyond.
