Cala Llamp Bay
An idyllic bay and with one of Mallorca’s hottest beach clubs near to Port Andratx.
Tucked around the corner from Port d'Andratx, Cala Llamp Bay offers one of Mallorca’s most superb views. High cliffs from the surrounding Tramuntana mountains, create the crescent shaped bay filled with calm and beautifully clear water.
Lacking in sandy shores, it's perhaps better suited to keen swimmers who are less interested in sunbathing and more interested in gliding their way through the lovely water or exploring rock pools. A prestigious beach club sits adjacent to the general beach’s stone platform sunbathing shelves, providing excellent food and service, as well as seafront-facing shaded loungers and a saltwater pool. Be sure to reserve your loungers or table in advance. For further amenities and entertainment, Port Andratx is just around the corner with a large selection of restaurants and accommodation.
Beach Bars & Beach Clubs
One of the island's most popular beach clubs resides in this bay, where a well-heeled crowd will sit and while away the day. It sits on a stone platform and offers sun loungers, parasols, a restaurant and a swimming pool.

Setting & Location
Located on Mallorca’s southwest corner, this bay is perfectly situated for late afternoon sunset lounging, complimented with stunning views of the Mediterranean sundown. Found in a quiet, residential area, this bay is better accessed by car or boat rather than by public transport. Thankfully, this means the bay doesn’t become overcrowded often, although parking can still be a little tricky in the peak of summer.
Water Safety & Clarity
The water is transparent here and easily accessible via the flat rocks for swimmers, but less ideal for children given the lack of any shallow water and sometimes subject to a moderate swell.
Beach Quality
With no sand and flat rocks, you’ll need to bring your own deck chairs or loungers to be truly comfortable upon the natural stone terrace, the surrounding Mallorcan scenery however, certainly makes it worthwhile. The bay measures at around 100 metres long and 20 metres deep, but bear in mind there are no other facilities than those offered by the beach club. Despite any real services or amenities except for the one beach club, the area remains pleasantly clean.
Watersports Nearby
You won’t find any water sports here, but ensure you bring a snorkel because the conditions are excellent.
Directions
A fast drive from Palma, the main road Ma-1020 brings you nearly all the way (about 30km). When you reach the roundabout just before Port Andratx, head further south where you can easily find the well sign-posted Cala Llamp bay.
