Groc Cafe

A cosy, charming and creative spot

featured in Cafes & Delis Updated

A colourful cafe with views of the Poble Espanyol that caters for kids and grown ups alike.

Great combinations such as coffee, pastry and juice for breakfast, two courses and a drink set menu lunch. The lunch menu, featuring dishes such as “Salmon Poke Bowl” and “Greek salad” is refreshed daily and you can find it on Instagram stories. From breakfast through to the evening, there is an extensive range of ‘tostadas’ available too. In line with the art on the walls and the dedicated mini play area for children, there is a creative theme here. Chiara and Tonya never stop experimenting - one week it may be a stunning ocean latte (pictured) with a butterfly pea powder hue and, in winter, they rustle up espresso martinis and gluhwein. A number of interesting events take place here during the year - featuring art, book talks and workshops.

With the most amazing back story, the two female owners - Chiara and Tonya built this little business when the world around them was crashing down. Tonya visited Mallorca in 2022 with her son and the Russian war started leaving her unable to return to Kiev. Chiara and Tonya met and had the idea of starting a business together.

For many reasons, there really is a feel good factor here at Groc.

“Nice Friendly cafe. Lovely coffee, owner and pastries. Located in a quiet area of Palma. We stepped off the tourist bus here to visit the Poble Espanyol complex and discovered this cafe just across the road.” – Trip Advisor

“I was delighted when I discovered this Cafe near the Palma Sport & Tennis Club - it is an oasis as well as a sun trap! Firstly, I have huge respect for the two owners who are hugely dedicated and efficient. The food is fantastic and contrasts with a number of competitor cafes in that the lunch options are healthy and change every day! In addition, the selection of coffees is fantastic - all the usual options plus Bonbon, Mocha, Curcuma and more. When the Christmas market is on at Poble Espanyol, there is even more of a buzz and I recommend this for a cocktail” - Google Review

“The staff are lovely, such great service and “no problem” mentality if you need something outside the menu. We felt so welcomed. We visited the place twice and only wished that we found it earlier so we could have come more often before leaving Palma. The lunch was excellent and included something to drink and coffee of your like or pastry/ice cream. We also had breakfast the day after and enjoyed it very much. The value for money is excellent, you get more than what you pay compared to many other places. The food is made with love. The location is also great if you plan to take the hop-on/off bus. Enjoy
