The average 39.1 litres per square metre collected last week make August 2015 one of the wettest in Mallorca's history, although they were concentrated in a couple of days. In fact, it is a 172% more than what normally falls this month.

However, records show that 1983 and 2002 were even wetter. Some of the heavy rain and hail falls caused material damage, especially around Palma and the Eastern part of the island.

Things have improved this week, and no more rain has been forecast for the weekend, with temperatures predicted to rise.
