Mallorca 312 cycle race route reshaped

The iconic route changes to become even more challenging

Mallorca 312 is a heady mix of beautiful mountain roads, interesting climbs and stunning views over the Mediterranean sea and the island's unspoilt countryside. This year's edition will retain all of its charm, but with the addition of two new climbs.

There are three different distances on offer, 167 kilometres, a new 232 kilometres course, and the classic 312 kilometres, all of them now taking place on closed roads for increased safety. The legendary 312 route has been redesigned to increase the number of climbs with the ascent to Galilea and Es Grau de Superna, in the Tramuntana mountains.

The competition will still start and finish at Playa de Muro, heading first to Pollença and along the coast to Andratx, where the new section starts. Instead of heading to Palma, cyclists will turn towards the northeast going through Es Capdellá, Puigpunyent, Esporles, Santa Maria, Alaró and Biniamar.

The race, taking place on Saturday April 30th, will comprise a total of 3,290 metres of climb to tackle in 14 hours. More than 4,000 riders have registered to take part in what is set to be a spectacular event.
