Il Forno a la Legna Restaurant

Authentic Neapolitan pizza complete with stunning views

featured in Restaurants Updated

The sister of two other successful Italian restaurants in Mallorca, this is a distinctive dining opportunity.

The oven, the source of the wonderful pizzas served here, was created in this particular village just outside Palma - Establiments, with views over the mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana that many restaurants cannot command.

The staff here are very hospitable and do not miss the pasta or pizza including the “Arrabiata that has a spicy kick, Pasta Fungi & Truffle”, or the appropriately named “Vesuvio '' pizza.

Save space though, because the desserts are recommended, especially the cheesecake, tiramisu and banoffee - in fact some reviews say ensure you go there hungry! If you would like to dine at peak times such as Saturday night or Sunday lunch, a reservation is also recommended.

This is a great relaxed dining opportunity for couples, friends, families with kids - well everyone that loves Italian cooking!

“Amazing pizzas. I was recommended by some friends. Good service, excellent vibe, pizza's to kill for, and for a moment, I thought I was in pizza heaven.” – Trip Advisor

“I went in Il Forno with my children during my holidays and was very surprised. The beautiful terrace with view of the mountains. The Friendly personal. But the most important. The pizza's are amazing. Baked in a traditional wood oven. Delicious! Also the homemade desserts. And that all for a good price. I will certainly go back.” - Trip Advisor

“Located just before you reach Establiments, this is a fabulous restaurant. It’s not one of these posh Italian restaurants, it’s down to earth, serving the best pizzas and pasta that we have found on Mallorca. Our Italian friends agree! Pizzas and pasta dishes are huge and so reasonably priced. Our particular favourites are pasta Arrabiata that has a spicy kick, pasta fungi & tartufo, the pizza al tartufo with ham, mushroom and trufa, and pizza with chicken called Vesuvio....the desserts are to die for especially the cheesecake, tiramisu and banoffee. The hot oil is great with bread or to add a kick to your pizza, and love the black olives in oil with rosemary. Great view from the enclosed terrace too. Book a table on the terrace if you are going at peak times such as Saturday night or Sunday lunch. Great place for couples, friends, families with kids, everyone basically. Love the food here!” - Trip Advisor
