A German owned Mallorcan cellar in a homely Spanish setting, offering good value for

Experienced restaurateurs and owners of La Taperia in Lübeck, Germany – Luis and Sandra,
took three years to ensure they found the perfect premises for their Palma based
establishment. Having finally settled in the popular district of La Lonja, you’ll find the
entrance to La Taperia down a flight of stone steps to a lower-level dining room with
exposed stone walls and a large window onto the street.

Allow ample time in which to browse over the menu; their impressive selection includes
numerous choices for vegetarians, as well as soups, a mixed tapas platter (for the
indecisive), and four ‘gourmet’ main courses to choose from for those who want something
larger. Keep an eye out for specials like ‘Hake with pomme puree’, ‘Beetroot carpaccio with
caramelized goat’s cheese and nuts’, and ‘Fresh grilled calamari with rosemary and
potatoes’.

Their dessert menu offers quality over quantity when it comes to choice, but the
Apple Strudel is to die for. The hosts’ watchful eyes on their front of house ensures
consistently friendly and attentive service.

Visitor comments

“Good food, very good service, very kind, good ambiance. Definitely visit this restaurant!
Top!” – Trip Advisor

“Had an amazing meal here. Some very well presented tapas that tasted great. The
caramelised fennel is a must. It is tricky to find as it is on a quiet back street but worth the detour. I have read some reviews that are not great. They are old and thing’s really must
have changed. The service was great.” – Trip Advisor

“Very relaxed with superb food and service it’s not a fast food restaurant! it’s a very nice
tapas bar which we are lucky enough to have found on our first day in Palma we will return”
