Manataco Restaurant
Tasty, trendy tacos in the heart of Palma.
A fantastic laid back Mexican restaurant specialising in vibrant tacos at honest prices.
Palma has a number of Mexican eateries to consider, however Manataco should be at the top of your list.
Situated on the cobbled streets behind the Paseo del Borne, this modern taco restaurant takes on a casual approach to dining. Bright yellow tiling is splashed with ‘Day of the Dead’ interior details offering a stripped back, yet funky design. An open kitchen with shared tables creates a lively atmosphere for people to gather. Offering street-style dishes, they bring a number of authentic recipes from Mexico City like ‘Taco al Pastor’ with marinated pork with spices, served with onion, coriander and pineapple. Cooked in the traditional manner of the capital city’s ‘taqueros’ (taco chefs), the restaurant offers a true Mexican culture, original flavours and excellent cocktails.
Their simple but ample menu includes a range of different ‘Tacos’, ‘Antojitos’ and ‘Quesadillas’. Be sure to save space for a Chocolate Coulant with Spicy Mango or the Banana Cannelloni. Service is attentive, fast and efficient and children are very welcome.

“Just called in for a drink and were so impressed we ended up staying for an amazing lunch. We were looked after by Miladie (not sure of spelling - eek) who was just lovely and so friendly. Would highly recommend!!” – Trip Advisor
“We love Manataco! We were really looking for something different than tapas (which is really great here in Palma) and Manataco was just what we needed. It's a cool space with a good sized outdoor seating area, the people are very nice and the food and drinks were super. We had a couple of margaritas which were very refreshing and packed a good punch as well! The nachos were some of the best we've ever had! They use quesdo fundido instead of cheddar so it's nice and gooey, Yum! The tacos were great as well, we had a sentas (mushroom) which was our fave, the chicken mole, and the suadero (beef skirt steak). Oh they have excellent salsas as well. It has a great vibe and we'll definitely come back!” – Trip Advisor
“Tucked away on a quiet side street this modern Mexican restaurant was a great find by chance. The menu is broken down into sharing plates to start and then a wider variety of tacos and enchiladas. The flavours were fantastic and ingredients fresh. The margaritas were great too. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Definitely worth a visit.” – Trip Advisor
